Student Reviews

In this User Guide, we will review Student Reviews

Student Reviews are a lesson component designed for self-paced learning. These are videos formatted and embedded with three formative assessment questions to check for student understanding. This lesson component can be used by students in preparation for a lesson, as in flipped learning or as a review in preparation for assessment.

Under the Content Library tab, select the grade, standard, and topic you would like to view lesson components for. Under the Science Library tab, you will see all the lesson components available.

By each Student Review  you can use the orange buttons to preview the component, add the component to your playlist, add the component to My Library, or assign/copy URL.

In the Student Review, you can click on the red arrow to view your tool bar. Here, you can go back, play or pause the video, start over, or enter/exit full-screen.

Throughout the Student Review, students will be asked various questions to test their understanding. You can have the question read aloud by clicking on the speakerphone icon near the question. Once the student clicks submit, they will get immediate feedback on their response, explaining why the response was correct or incorrect. If the student answers the question correctly, they will receive a gold star.

Students who answer the question incorrectly will be able to try again. If they answer the question correctly on their second try, they will be awarded half a gold star. If after their second attempt they are still unable to answer correctly, the platform will show them the correct answer and explain why it is so.

At the end of the Student Review students will be able to view their total score. Teachers will also be able to see reports on how their class has preformed on the Student Review.
