How to View Reports - Grade Book
Section 1: Logging Into EduSmart
Before accessing the reports, you must be logged into your EduSmart account. There are two ways to do this.
- Login via District Single Sign On platform
- Login via EduSmart Portal
Section 2: Navigating to the Reports
After logging in, click on Reports in the top navigation bar. On the Reports page you can view three reports - Grade Book, Progress Monitoring and Item Analysis.
Under the Grade Book tab:
- Use the GROUP dropdown to select your class or group (e.g., New Group).
- Use the ASSIGNED DATE dropdown to filter by date range (e.g., This Month).
The Grade Book will list all assignments with their Assignment Name, Assigned Date, and Due Date.
Section 3: Viewing a Detailed Assignment Report
- In the Grade Book, click on the name of any assignment (shown in blue text), for example 'Student Review - Competition for Resources'.
- A Detailed Assignment Report will open showing all students in your group.
Note: The AI scores can be reviewed and modified for open ended questions in Review Fill-In and Review Journal resources. You can adjust any AI-graded scores as needed.
The report shows each student's name, their percentage score if completed, and a status of 'Not Started' if they have not begun.
Section 4: Re-Assigning an Assignment to a Student
- From the Detailed Assignment Report (see Section 3), click the Re-assign link below the assignment column header.
- A checkbox will appear next to each student's name. Check the box next to the student(s) you want to re-assign.
- An Assign button will appear showing the count of selected students, for example Assign (1). Click it to confirm.
- To cancel without re-assigning, click the Cancel link.
Section 5: Individual Student Tracking
- From the Reports section, open the Individual Student Tracking view for your group.
- Find the student's name in the list (e.g., Cook, Samantha).
- The table below the student's name shows all assigned activities with: Assignment Name, Completion Status, Time Spent, and a Report icon.
- Click the orange report icon in the Report column to open a detailed report for that specific assignment.
Completion Status will show Not Started, In Progress, or Completed. Time Spent shows the number of minutes the student has worked on each activity.
Section 6: Viewing a Student's Detailed Assignment Report
After clicking the report icon from Individual Student Tracking, a Detailed Assignment Report will open for that student.
This report shows:
- The assignment name and due date.
- Each sub-component of the assignment (e.g., Student Review, Review Fill-In, Review Journal).
- Completion Status and Time spent for each sub-component.
- A View Report button on each row for further details.
Note: Use this view to identify exactly which parts of an assignment a student has completed or struggled with, so you can provide targeted support.
