Step 1. Open Google Chrome and click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Step 2. Go to More tools → Clear browsing data…
Step 3. In the pop-up window:
- Set Time range to Last 7 days or All time
- Check: Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
Step 4. Click Delete data.
Tip: Close and reopen Chrome after clearing to refresh your session.
Note: You can also get to this screen by pasting chrome://settings/clearBrowserData into the address bar at the top of your browser window and pressing Enter on your keyboard.
When Should I Clear Cache and Cookies?
- You can’t log into a website (even with the correct password)
- A website doesn’t load fully or shows outdated content
- The browser is running slowly or behaving unpredictably
- You're switching between student/teacher accounts and settings don’t update
For School Devices
If you're using a district-managed device, check with your tech department before clearing data. Some cookies may be required for SSO (Single Sign-On) or device management.
