FL Teacher — Step-by-Step Guide

This guide walks Florida Teachers through the Grade Book report in EduSmart. Teachers can view assignment completion and scores by group, drill into individual student reports, review AI-graded responses, re-assign work, send reports to students, and print detailed individual reports.

STEP 1: Go to Reports and Open Grade Book

From the top navigation bar, click Reports.

Callout ①: The Grade Book tab is active by default.

Callout ②: Use the filter row to select a Group and Assigned Date. The table lists all assignments for that group with Assignment Name, Assigned Date, and Due Date.

Callout ③: Click any assignment name to open its Detailed Assignment Report.

STEP 2:  View the Detailed Assignment Report (Reader)

Clicking a Reader assignment opens the Detailed Assignment Report. Each student is listed with their percentage score and an AI label. The score column header provides three options:

Note: AI scores can be reviewed and modified.

Callout ④: Click a student name to open their Individual Student Tracking

Callout ⑤: Re-assign , and

Callout ⑥: Each student’s score row shows the AI-graded result. and opens their Detailed Assignment Report.

STEP 3: View Individual Student Tracking

Clicking a student name opens the Individual Student Tracking page for that group. This page lists all assignments for the student with Completion Status, Time Spent, and a Report icon.

Click the orange Report icon next to any completed assignment to view its detailed results.

STEP 4: Open the Student’s Detailed Assignment Report and Review AI Grades

Clicking the Report icon opens the Detailed Assignment Report for that student, listing each content item with its score. 

Click the orange chart icon (outlined in blue) next to a scored item to open the full item-level Reader Report with AI grading and feedback.

The Reader Report shows the student’s full attempt including all question responses and AI-generated grading. The report displays Total Score at the top, a breakdown by question type, and an AI Grade & Feedback panel for Short Constructed Response questions.

Note: Correct answers are highlighted in green, incorrect in red. The AI Grade & Feedback panel (blue) explains the AI’s scoring for Short Constructed Response questions.

Click Modify Grade to override the AI score, or Accept to confirm it.

STEP 5: View the Detailed Assignment Report (Quiz) and Re-assign or Send to Students

From the Grade Book, click a Quiz assignment name (e.g., Quiz: [SC.5.E.7.5] Weather Patterns and Environments) to open its Detailed Assignment Report.

The score column header shows two additional actions: Re-assign and Send to Student(s) (outlined in blue).

Use Re-assign to reassign the quiz to the whole group, or Send to Student(s) to share the report with individual students.

Click a student’s score in the Detailed Assignment Report to open their Detailed Individual Report.

STEP 6: View and Print the Detailed Individual Report

This report shows a summary card (Completed by, Completed On, Time Taken, Total Score / Max Score, Percentage Correct) alongside a color-coded pie chart of correct, incorrect, and not-attempted questions.

Below the summary, each question is displayed with the student’s selected answer and whether it was correct.

Use the Select report dropdown to switch between attempts. Click the Print report button (outlined in blue, top right) to print or save the report as a PDF.

Note: The Detailed Individual Report shows a breadcrumb trail (Florida > Demo Group G5 > My Reports > Student Assessment Report > student name), a summary card with score and pie chart, and question-by-question answers.

Quick Reference Summary

  1. Click Reports in the top navigation bar; the Grade Book tab opens by default.
  2. Use the Group and Assigned Date filters to find assignments, then click an assignment name.
  3. On the Detailed Assignment Report, click a student name to view their Individual Student Tracking page.
  4. Click the orange Report icon next to a completed assignment to open the student’s Detailed Assignment Report.
  5. Click the chart icon to open the Reader Report; review AI grading and use Modify Grade or Accept.
  6. For Quiz assignments, use Re-assign or Send to Student(s) from the score column header.
  7. Click a student’s score to open their Detailed Individual Report; use Print report to print or save as PDF.
